Saturday, May 28, 2022 –Blogger Robert Alai has exposed Kakamega Senator Cleophas Malala just after the latter went public about his academic score.
On Friday May 27, the vocal Kakamega lawmaker made public his academic papers from High school to university that showed he had scored a B mini-grade with B- (minus) in English, Kiswahili B+ (plus), Mathematics B- (minus), Biology B (plain), Chemistry B (plain), Geography B+ (plus), Social Education and Ethics B+ (plus).
He would then go bragging on how the Commission for University Education (CUE) had cleared his credentials preparing ground for his gubernatorial stab in Kakamega County.
“The Commission for University Education (CUE) has duly certified and recognized my academic credentials and henceforth advised the IEBC to clear me to contest in the August 2022 gubernatorial election, Kakamega County,” the Senator stated.
This is after he was forced to share his academic qualifications following speculations that he was unfit to vie for governor’s position.
But today Saturday May 28 afternoon, blogger Alai laid bare all the lies from the senator claiming that the campus certificate he had flaunted on social media on Friday May 28 was fraudulently acquired.
“Cleophas Malala has published this as his authentic USIU degree cert. This document was FRAUDULENTLY obtained. From USIU records where I am an alumnus, Malala started going to school 12 years ago. He still hasn’t finished 4 courses including the final project.
“This is why we mustn’t allow fools like you as governor. When you can’t effectively address issues raised, your best bet are below the belt. Malala you didn’t graduate from USIU. You bought the cert from someone in the office of the registrar but you didn’t graduate,” the blogger stood firm his ground.
Alai went further to affirm that he was ready to step in the dock to prove that the Kakamega Senator used short cuts to acquire his Degree paper by bribing some officers at the university in exchange for the grades.
And while appearing on a local radio channel in Bungoma today Saturday morning, embattled Malala appeared to struggle to explain his graduation process; what left so many questions still unanswered.
