Wednesday, October 2, 20214 –Nyali Member of Parliament Mohamed Ali has turned against Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua’s impeachment plot.
In a fresh statement he shared with the pubic on Tuesday October 1, the first time lawmaker for Nyali, said, the ongoing pressure to remove DP Gachagua from office is ill-informed and ought to be rejected beacause he believes there is no reason for that.
He added that he is among those who did not appended his signature on the petition meant to oust the deputy president from office, prematurely.
“I have carefully read the charges in the impeachment motion against Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua . In good faith, I do not support this cause of action and find it ill- intentioned seeking to demonize a Public Servant who has contributed immensely to this great country,” Stated Mohamed.
“Let it be known that I, Mohamed Ali Mohamed, did not sign the impeachment motion against Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua,” he added.
He is among the few lawmakers including Ndindi Nyoro who many expected to append signatures in support of the motion that was tables in the House on Tuesday.
Ali and Nyoro have been close confidants of President William Ruto.
