Thursday, November 25, 2021 –Director of Public Prosecution DPP Noordin Haji has announced his readiness to quit office incase he is found culpable of all that he is being accused of.
Making the remarks during a Tv interview on Wednesday November 24, Mr. Haji said he is a temporary worker who can be forced to leave job so that another person can also serve th ecountry.
He added that he is willing to vacate office as soon as he is asked to do so by his employer – the Public Service Commission – or by courts.
The DPP disclosed that though he has a service term which is yet to lapse, if found in any crime or integrity issues he will be ready to serve preferred jail term.
“If the President sets up a tribunal and the tribunal finds that I have to leave, I am a man of God and believe that God has better plans for me.
“Hii kiti sio ya mama yangu. Inaweza kuenda anytime.(This seat is not my mothers’. It can be taken anytime.
He added that he was not shaken by how many petitions were being filed against him since this has happened even before he joined office.
Haji defended that he is not going to engage his accusers in public spat but wait for them in court or any presiding committee.
