Wednesday, August 25, 2021 -Moses Kuria – MP Gatundu South is quickly falling out with Deputy President’s United Democratic Alliances UDA Party over alliance matters.
In his latest public rant on media, MP Kuria listed the benefits UDA had received from him including the recently won by-elections which he now claims were made successful after he got involved in.
Speaking this in Kigumo, Murang’a County last Tuesday August 24, the vocal Mt Kenya legislator, in a blow by blow account, expressed his displeasure with a section of UDA members among them Mathira MP Rigathi Gachagua for labeling him a mole in UDA.
“I’m not going to stand here and allow someone to accuse me of being deep state. President Uhuru Kenyatta pronounced that he’s going home. So how can I be deep state for someone who is going home? Let’s change the conversation,” Kuria stated.
He added that if it were not for his efforts, UDA could have lost terribly to Jubilee in both Juja and Kiambaa. In fact he singled out Juja saying it was wrong for UDA to start celebrating something that was not theres and had played no role in helping his party clinch the seat.
“I went ahead to win in Juja and after that, all these people, Mathira MP Rigathi Gachagua and co. neither helped nor contributed in any way.
“They were there praising my victory as one for the hustler nation, I don’t know when this changed and when I became a criminal or an outcast for Gachagua to go all over blasting me because I have a party,” he wondered.
He now wants UDA to repay him for the Kiambaa by-election by not fielding anybody against his party in the next by-elections.
While responding to a journalist who ad sought to know why Kuria was not attending the recent UDA PG meeting, Ruto whispered to MP Aden Duale to tell reporters that UDA’s only MP was with them; he said this in direct reference to George Koimburu – new MP for Juja.
The latest utterances from Kuria now makes it clear that there are cracks growing wide in UDA Party and if not checked now, they might soon crumble down the party same script that befell Jubilee.
