Friday, June 9, 2023 –A media personality has reportedly filed a child support case against a former State House official, alleging that he had abandoned his parental responsibilities over their three children.
In the suit, the lady wants a monthly provision of sh 900,000 i.e sh 300,000 per child per month for entertainment— “outings, extra-curricular activities during weekends, library membership, STEM club, horse riding at a reputable riding school as before, tennis and golf clubs and golf course,” blogger Cyprian Nyakundi shared.
Other Kenyans also joined in the debate saying it was unbelievable that a lady can demand that amount of money from a man they should be sharing responsibilities; going by the recent court ruling.
“When Anne Kiguta is demanding 400m from Jomo Gecaga for child upkeep, our sisters who sired kids with ordinary majamaa are begging for gororo ya mahindi na mia mbili ya kununulia mtoto dawa ya homa from their absent baby daddies. This life no balance,” Javan Karanja said as Laho added:
“So Anne Kiguta is demanding sh 413 million from Jomo Gecaga; same amount ilitumika ku renovate Embu Stadium, so the kid is worth Embu Stadium? Women will leave you with empty coffers”.
Reports on social sources indicated that former the K24 Tv news anchor was suing her lover Jomo Gacega of the ”Kenyatta family” to the tune of sh 400 million and sh 2 million per month for neglecting to support their children.
Anne Kiguta is a Kenyan journalist, talk show host and news anchor. Before her sacking, she ran a political show at K24 Tv every Sunday at 9 PM. Ms Kiguta has previously worked for Hope FM, Capital FM, KTN and Citizen TV.
