Tuesday, October 26, 2021 –Kirinyaga County Governor Anne Waiguru has made good her threats and joined United Democratic Alliance UDA Party.

Waiguru drove to Deputy President William Ruto’s Karen residence on Tuesday October 26 morning where she was received by the DP in an event that was attended by other Jubilee Party defectors.

According to the media reports, Anne Waiguru was accompanied by a host of other Members of County Assembly MCAs from her county.

This is happening amid storm in Jubilee where she is not in good terms with both Woman Representative Purity Ngirici and PS Karanja Kibicho.

Though the trio was recently reconciled by President Uhuru Kenyatta during their Sagana Lodge meeting, Waiguru’s move was informed by her recent threats that she could join forces with Ruto citing luck of clarity in their Jubilee fraternity.

The governor, a few weeks ago, said that she was keenly listening to her supporters on the ground before taking any bold step.

“I will be spending a lot of time on the ground, which will decide what direction I’ll take. The decision will also be influenced by the seat that I will go for,” Ms Waiguru threatened.

And whether this move means she will be Ruto’s 2022 running mate only time will tell.
