Another Nairobi Businessman Abducted at Gun Point[CCTV]

Saturday, February 5, 2022 –Security agencies have started investigating an incident in which a city businessman was kidnapped by unknown persons in South C area on Wednesday February 2 at 10AM.

According to the CCTV footage retrieved from the scene, the victim, Mr. Roba Abduba Sereka, can be seen being bundled into a Land Cruiser hard-top at gun point along Muhoho Road in South C estate.

Those who were around tried hard to rescue him but the car sped away vanishing with him into thin air.

Family members explained that their 60-year-old man had just left his home to run afew errands in the nearby Green Valley Shopping Center within South C estate, when this happened.

They would then report the matter at Akila Police and later at Lang’ata Police Station for an enhanced investigation.

“He left home to run some errands but after 20 minutes, he called me asking me to prepare him tea. I waited until 12 noon assuming that he had gone to the Mosque. At around 2pm we became worried because his phone was off,” one of his relatives divulged.

The distressed family is now calling upon the government to hasten investigations so that their kin can be found alive.

The incident has triggered leaders fetched from his pastoral Marsabit Region to intervene describing the businessman as a social, harmless prominent person.

“Roba must be produced in court if at all he is involved in any crime or suspected. Let him face the law, not abductions,” Governor Mohamud Mohamed stated.

The incident is happening even as another tycoon of Ethiopian origin, Samson Techlemichael, is still missing after he was picked from his car along a busy Nairobi Road; now third months, he is yet to be located.
