Saturday, July 3, 2021 -Malindi Member of Parliament Aisha Jumwa on Saturday met with COTU Secretary General Francis Atwoli alongside Msambweni counterpart Feisal Bader.

Their meeting continued to raise a lot of speculations the day through owing to the fact that Atwoli and Ruto are not so good friends and there is no way the two groups could be allowed to meet. Feisal was supported by William Ruto’s Tangatanga wing in the December 2020 Msambweni by-election that he won.

Currently, Francis Atwoli is a Raila Odinga man while Faisal and Jumwa have been subscribing to the Hustler narrative as championed by Deputy President William Ruto.

Responding to the speculations, ODM Party Communication Director Philip Etale  confirmed that indeed Atwoli held a political meeting with the two – Bader and Jumwa.

“Could there be something cooking?” Etale posed on Twitter.

By the time of going to the press, it was hard to get deeper details about the trio. However, the first person to happily post the photo online was MP Jumwa.

Their unexpected meeting brings back the chaotic memories when MP Jumwa once referred to Mr. Atwoli as Mme Bwege loosely translated to a ‘useless man’.

This quickly saw Atwoli hit back with equal force saying the lady was not his type and sees no reason to engage a womnan without an admirable shape.

“Achana na huyo mama, hata sio type yangu, huyo hata si taste yangu. Anacheza sana na jina yangu. Mpime na ruler, hata hana kiuno (Leave her alone, she’s not my standards look at her waist,” Atwoli stated then.

This back forth went on for sometime before Jumwa resurfaced with another insult in which she referred to Atwoli as a desperate old man.
