Thursday, October 24, 2024 –Azimio la Umoja coalition has come out to deny receiving bribes to help stop DP Rigathi Gachagua’s ouster.

Principals Kalonzo Musyoka and Eugene Wamalwa, on Thursday October 24, dismissed allegations of receiving millions from embattled Rigathi Gachagua to save him from impeachment.

Mr. Wamalwa today flagged a post that had purported that he and Kalonzo allegedly received a whopping sh 50 million and sh 100 million respectively to oppose Gachagua’s ongoing removal from office.

According to the former Defence Cabinet Secretary, the bribery allegations suggested by the online post as shared by Kakamega Senator Boni Khalwale was misleading and fake.

The team has been opposed to the removal from office of the embattled DP saying it is unconstitutional move that cant stand the test of court.

They also visited the DP at Karen Hospital when he had rushed there in the middle of his impeachment exercise at the Senate.

In the process, they would accuse President William Ruto of being a ‘heartless Christian’ who was hell-bent on fighting out his deputy even when he is on the hospital bed.

And after his discharge, Gachagua described his boss President Ruto as a ‘vicious man’ who has no respect for those who helped him take power.

The impeachment exercise is still going on in court with Gachaguas’ lawyers upbeat that they will finally save their client from the unfair removal.
