Wednesday, February 16, 2022 –It was happy moments for President Uhuru Kenyatta when slogans of Azimio rent the air during his second day in the Gulf country.
This occurred as he was walking around with other dignitaries when spontaneous slogans of Azimio were heard from all over the place; catching the president unawares.
“Azimio Uhuuuuu Azimio,” people could be heard shouting as elated Uhuru waved back to them.
President Uhuru is in the Gulf nation to preside over the high-level Kenya-UAE business forum that has been attended by people from all walks of life.
Briefing the press in Dubai last Monday February 14 ahead of the president’s arrival, Ambassador Kariuki Mugwe said Uhuru will be presiding over the event in his capacity as the head of State.
“The purpose of the President coming here is to showcase business and investment opportunities that are available in Kenya. And there are quite a number of them mostly in the investment areas,” Amb. Mugwe announced.
President Kenyatta is also expected to address the huge trade imbalances between Kenya and Dubai.
