Wednesday, September 7, 2022 –Kalonzo Musyoka is back in the speaker’s race just hours after withdrawing under unknown circumstances.

On Wednesday September 7, Mr. Kalonzo tendered his name for consideration again after the Azimio la Umoja coalition fronted him for the Senate Speaker seat.

The Wiper Party leader is now slated to battle it out with Kenya Kwanza’s Amason Kingi who is a lawyer by profession.

“Breakthrough at the Azimio Parliamentary Group (PG) meeting on who to go for speakership in the National Assembly and the senate.

“Hon. Kenneth Marende to go for speaker of the National Assembly and Hon Kalonzo Musyoka to go for speaker of the Senate,” ODM’s Communications Director Philip Etale, announced.

This is happening barely 24-hours after the former vice president dropped out of the National Assembly speaker race citing probable humiliation from William Ruto troops.

Wiper Party officials have now embarked on helping Kalonzo build his brand ready for 2022 contest now that their Azimio candidate, Mr. Oding,a had been floored by William Ruto.

Kalonzo has supported Odinga three times.
