Today Monday January 30 in the morning, the MCA was picked up by the DCI sleuths just after he had reported at the National Cohesion and Integration Commission NCIC offices following official sermons.

“We arrived at the commission’s headquarters and asked to sign statements. We requested for Wednesday, February 1 for us to come and write the statement. They then left to go and photocopy the documents for us,” Absalom’s lawyer Apollo Mboya

In the process, the police officers stormed in and picked the politician and sped away with him living the lawyer stranded at the NCIC headquarters.

“We suspect that it was at this moment that they called the DCI who came in and picked my client,” he added.

In its explanation, the commission said it had not served Absalom with sermon copies because it had no idea where to find him.

When the lawyer attempted to block his client’s arrest, the DCI officers did not bother to convincingly explain their mission.

“The officers upon my request to inform why they were arresting my client revealed to me that they had instructions from above after Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua’s complaint,” he disclosed.
