Tuesday, June 27, 2023 – Opposition leader supporters continued thronging the historic Kamukunji Ground for another round of protests on Tuesday June 27.

By morning, many of them made way into the Grounds with hopes of being instructed what next by their leaders Raila Odinga, Martha Karua and Kalonzo Musyoka.

Hundreds of supporters were treated to music and dances as they waited for the arrival of Azimio top leadership.

To express their anger and frustrations, some of the supporters were seen with sufurias full of sand that seemingly illustrated lack of food in their homes.

“The difference between now and then is that, it’s people themselves who are pressuring Baba Raila Odinga to call for Azimio Maandamano. If Zakayo doesn’t watch his steps, he might be toppled this time round. Majority Kenyans are angry with him,” one supporter opined.

On her part, former running mate Martha Karua announced that they will be regrouping for one last chance to bring change in the country.

Azimio-One Kenya coalition will once again regroup at the historical Kamukunji grounds this Tuesday with speculation that the party will announce the resumption of mass action,” Ms Karua stated.

Minority leader in the National Assembly, Opiyo Wandayi , warned the regime that the journey that is beginning at Kamukunji today will be unstoppable depending on what the people will tell them.

“It will change the politics of these country

“The country is in a state of panic following the forceful passing of the Finance Bill 2023. Kenyans are expecting Raila Odinga to give way forward at Kamukunji today,” he went on.

They said this even as government authorities promised not to stop the rally set for Kamukunji Grounds.
