Wafula Chebukati son has asked the country to stop making fun of the death of his father who died in Nairobi after a long illness.

The last born son took to social media to plead with the rest of the country to allow them time to mourn Chebukati and to lay him to rest in peace.

He argued that his father was law-abiding citizen who never received bribes or cut corners while on duty and those propagating lies against his conduct and the family should consider stopping this because it is unfair and painful.

“What you are doing to us is not good and I plead on behalf of the family to give us time and some respect because my father was not what you say he was,” the young man stated.
The video has since gone viral on X and Facebook.

Chebukati was the former electoral body IEBC chairman who faced a lot of controversy on the way he carried out elections in this country and especially the 2022 general election which handed William Ruto victory.
