Sunday, January 3, 2021 -The future of Building Bridges Initiative is unstable. Senate Majority Chief Whip Irungu Kang’ata has told the president.
Through his long letter he addressed to the President on Sunday January 3rd evening, the lawmaker noted that the future of BBI Report in Mt. Kenya was not reliable and could see those behind the project suffer a humiliating defeat if they don’t correct the mistakes they have left to dominate.
Dundapost.com blog further reported how Mr. Kang’ata had warned that BBI was poised to flop especially in Mt. Kenya Region where it is getting unpopular by day.
In his research he conducted through unscientific method over the just ended December holiday, the Murang’a senator explained that only 2 out of 10 residents from Mt. Kenya supported the initiative while the rest did not want anything to do with it.
“The President must rally Mt. Kenya MPs and Senators behind the BBI Report if he wants to win this battle,” Irungu stated in his Sunday January 3rd letter.
We have warned the ruling outfit ad nauseum that BBI is ill- advised & Kenyans have no appetite for this misadventure. Kangata's admission of 20% support in Mt Kenya is to say the least being polite to his boss. https://t.co/pFg2UuJ7j3

He even went as far as mentioning that the forthcoming City gubernatorial race would see any Uhuru Kenyatta’s candidate terribly lose to any other stronger candidate.
