‘Bitter’ Kalonzo Disrespects Odinga During Ukambani Tour

Saturday, July 10, 2021 -Wiper Democratic Party leader Kalonzo Musyoka continued displaying his bitterness infront of President Uhuru Kenyatta after Raila Odinga had joined them in Ukambani tour on Friday July 9.

President Uhuru Kenyatta definitely had invited ODM Party boss Raila Odinga in the development tour in a move that caught some local leadership unawares.

President Kenyatta, Raila Odinga and other leaders tour various developments at the Konza Technopolis along Mombasa Road in Makueni/Machakos Counties.

In that company were area leaders led by host Mr. Kalonzo Musyoka, Kitui Governor Charity Ngilu, Makueni’s Kivutha Kibwana and Machakos counterpart Alfred Mutua. And at Thwake Dam, Mr. Odinga declined to make his address after Kalonzo Musyoka openly trolled him.

“Thank you for coming. We did not expect you here but God has enabled you to come to Ukambani. We are one united team.

“I do not have a quarrel with anyone. Those insinuating and propagating so should use that negative energy to develop unity of purpose,” Kalonzo stated.

Further, on Kalonzo’s social media handles, he also failed to recognize Mr. Odinga whom he grouped with ‘the others’.

“Just concluded the inspection of Thwake dam with H.E the President Uhuru Kenyatta and other leaders,” Kalonzo took to his social media wall.

And when Prof Kivutha Kibwana took to the podium, he tried to invite Odinga to address as a sign of respect but Odinga who had felt insulted but Kalonzo refused to honour. He just shook his head, raised his hand before Uhuru took over.

“Raila understands what the country needs. Kalonzo too. The citizens do not want to be given tokens and freebies.

“They want to be empowered. That is a country we want,” Uhuru indirectly took a swipe at his deputy William Ruto.

For some time now, Raila and Kalonzo Musyoka have been trading babs in public with the latter accusing the former of reneging on their 2017 succession plans. Kalonzo wants Odinga to honour the pact they reportedly signed in 2017 that wanted Odinga to support him for the top seat.

Further Kalonzo, Musalia Mudavadi and Moses Wetang’ula are accusing the former Prime Minister of betraying them over political parties funds which they claim ought to be shared in ratio of their sizes. They have since vowed to escalate their fight until Odinga succumbs to their pressure.
