Friday, September 20, 2024 –Law Society of Kenya LSK President Faith Odhiambo has confirmed that Bob Njagi is still alive.
The LSK boss stated that Njagi, who had been abducted by police officers, had to find his way to Tigoni Police Station where he found assistance.
LSK President said the victim is alive and that the social media news which went round the country that he had bene killed were misleading though healthy.
“At around 1 am Bob Njagi managed find his way to Tigoni police station and for assistance. He is alive and well. The message from Bob and family,” Faith Odhiambo updated the public.
Speaking shortly after he was discovered, Njagi remained thankful to anyone who had been praying for him since the time he was abducted from a matatu.
“To family, friends and every Kenyan that has continued to pray for me, I wish to confirm that I am well and with my family. It is now time to quiet the noise, be grateful for life and for everyone to reflect on why Kenya matters,” he wrote.
A video had gone viral online showing police officers, in plain clothes, abduct Njangi from a town-bound bus as other passengers looked in shock from their seats.
Njagi could be heard shouting and defending himself that he is not an armed thug as the abductors continued referring to him as an ‘armed robber’.
Kenyans felt moved by the video clip in which some sources had already reported that the victim would later be found dead and mutilated.
Elsewhere, the Kitengela brothers who have been missing for months were finally discovered alive in Gachie area.
Confirmed reports stated that brothers Jamil and Aslam Longton had been found alive in Gachie, Kiambu County.
The two who were speaking in a clip shared by President Faith Odhiambo, stated that they were freed today, Friday September 20, early morning and dumped in a thicket to find way for themselves.
