Monday, February 22, 2021 -Robert Kyagulanyi also Bobi Wine, has made good his threats and withdrawn a petition challenging the controversial victory of President Yoweri Museveni.
The fierce politician made the declaration during his Monday February 22 press briefing held at their National Unity Platform NUP offices in Kamwoka.
“We have decided to remove our case from Owiny Dollo’s court, we shall now take the matter to the court of public opinion,” Bobi Wine said.
According to his speech, they had noticed that there were plans to embarrass them in court through dubious rulings;what informed their decision.
“Just like Museveni sought to challenge the victory of Obote in 1980 and later withdrew the case and chose to go to the bush, we have also sought the same since the circumstances are not any different,” Bobi Wine said.

He however promised that they will not be violent in their resolve to make it to the Statehouse because they are peace loving citizens.
He said that contrary to Museveni’s actions, he was not seeking a violent end to means.
