Monday, October 23, 2023 – Mr. Brian Mwenda has today been freed on a cash bail of sh 200,000.
In an update made by former Nairobi Governor Mike Mbuvi Sonko, today Monday October 23, a Nairobi court freed the fake lawyer on the amount that Sonko has since deposited with the court.
Sonko has maintained that Brian is still innocent until that time he will be proven guilty.
“Lawyer Brian Mwenda has just been granted a cash bail of 200k by the court.
“As promised earlier, I have already made the payment to the judiciary’s account at KCB bank via M-Pesa to ensure he doesn’t spend another night in prison. Mungu ni mwema,” he remarked.
Brian who was arrested weeks back over claims of impersonating lawyers through faked up papers, was arrested last week immediately after he volunteered himself at the Directorate of Criminal Investigations DCI headquarters along Kiambu Road.
He spent his weekend in police custody awaiting arraignment today Monday where he was freed on the cash bail.
