Wednesday, August 7, 2024 –New Cabinet swearing-in ceremony will be held on Thursday August 8.
Press Secretary Statehouse, Mr. Emmanuel Talam, made the announcement through a brief press release he shared with the media.
This happening after the National Assembly Committee on Appointments today announced approval of 19 names which it cleared for office.
“Honourable Speaker, I beg to lay the following paper on the table of the house today, August 7, 2024, the second report of the Committee of Appointments on the vetting of persons for appointment to the Offices of Secretaries volumes 1, 2, 3A and 3B,” the Majority Leader Kimani Ichung’wah stated.
One name, Stella Soi, was dropped as the committee members held different views on the candidate’s integrity and ability to understand the Gender docket.
