Calls to Bring Back Kuria, Kiunjuri Into UDA Party intensifies

Tuesday, August 31, 20221 -United Democratic Alliance UDA Party has softened its stand on forming an alliance with other political parties.

In a new statement by Mathira Member of Parliament Rigathi Gachagua, Rutos’s UDA will receive anyone with a political party without being forced to fold it as the DP had announced earlier

DP William Ruto with a section of his MPs in Karen.

The legislator who was speaking in an interview on Monday August 31 contradicted his earlier stand saying it is not possible to force folding parties for UDA. He added that both MP Moses Kuria and ex-Cabinet Secretary Mwangi Kiunjuri are now free to support Ruto with their own parties.

“It is only that we are having some difference in opinion in terms of strategy. How do we win this presidential vote for William Ruto? Do we go the UDA way all of us, or do we get small parties and get into a coalition?” he noted.

He therefore disclosed that they are engaging each other on the most possible way they could work together to achieve their main goal.

He promised to help Deputy president to get as much support as possible from their Mt. Kenya Region for his 2022 Statehouse bid.

Gachagua and his counterpart from Gatundu Mr. Moses Kuria have been engaged in supremacy battles over how to support Ruto; with the former insisting that anyone with a political party must dissolve it into UDA.
