Friday, July 16, 2021 -Fugitive police officer Carolyne Kangogo has died and her body ferried to the morgue.
The wanted cop who has been on a killing spree was found dead at her parents home in Elgeyo Marakwet County.
According to police, they had already started making a huge progress upto Thursday and that is when they heard of her death on Friday morning.
“She shot herself in their bathroom using a pistol she had,” police told the Star on Friday.
Her lifeless body was discovered at about 7.30 AM on Friday at Nyawa Village, Tambach Division in Keiyo.
Her parents called police to ferry the body which was lying in a pool of blood in the bathroom. Rift Valley Regional Commissioner George Natembeya confirmed the incident.
“We are told the mother found her holding a pistol which she used to commit suicide in the bathroom in their rural home,” he said.
From the photos which have arrived on our desk, the dangerous cop was still wearing her yellow hood which she was captured with in Ruiru after killing Mr. Peter Ndwiga.
Elgeyo Marakwet County Commander Patrick Lumumbnba noted that their early investigations hinted at a person who arrived in the rural home at about 7.30 AM and went to kill herself in bathroom where parents who were at home never also noticed her and not even the gunshot.
Her death now marks the end to her hunt which has been on for now two weeks.
