Monday, July 12, 2021 -The military has now been assigned to hunt for fugitive cop Carolyne Kangogo after a week of unsuccessful search.
Revealing this final move, the Directorate of Criminal Investigation DCI stated that it is taking too long to nab an individual what is not looking so good for the country. This has therefore forced the State agency to use a different tactic that may see her finally apprehended.
They are now going to search her both on roads, major highways including the Nairobi-Nakuru-Eldoret and Nairobi-Mombasa. The elites will also be dispatched to hotel as some monitor her means of communication.
“We have expanded our hunt to major highways, hotels, lodges and other places where we feel she could be hiding. Soon we shall arrest her,” a detective privy to the plans told the Nation.
It has now been considered illogical to keep her moving around freely for long and authorities now say the more she continues to evade their dragnet, the more they consider her as an extremist, armed and dangerous. They want her to surrender before they get hold of her since a week from now is now long.
“The more she continues to be on the run, the more we continue to categorise her as an extremist and the consequences will be severe,” another officer stated.
Her father and mother recently urged her to surrender the weapon she has been using to spill blood all over.
“Ajisalimishe kwa polisi sababu pia yeye ni askari ambaye anajua sheria. Ni vizuri ajitoe na ajisalimishe kwa polisi. (She should surrender to the police because she is also an officer and is conversant with matters of the law),” Kangogo’s father, Barnabas Kipkoech Korir stated.
They also asked her to stop harming more persons but instead surrender and talk her issues out since she must be aware of the rightful procedures having served in police service for a long time.
