Friday, September 13, 2024 –Businessman Jimi Wanjigi’s home has been surrounded by cars which have no number plates now for a week.
In a statement he released today Friday September 13, Wanjigi noted that his family has been living in great fear due to unmarked cars that have been moving around his compound. The said cars have gadgets that have made communication difficult at the billionaires home.
“Why are unmarked vehicles outside my residence in Muthaiga for the last one week? This is clearly harassment on me and my family, this surveillance is unprecedented! These vehicles are jamming all communication to my residence,” updated Wanjigi.
The events happening just weeks after his lavish Muthaiga homestead was raided by hooded police officers from the Anti-Terror Unit ATPU.
They broke into his home, forced themselves inside the house in what they described as an operation to recover weapons kept at Wanjigi home.
The billionaire would, however, run back to the courts where he sought anticipatory orders barring the police from arresting him or accessing his home.
The State has been accusing Mr. Jimi Wanjigi of funding youths protests against the current administration.
