Friday, October 11, 2024 –First daughter Charlene Ruto has rubbished reports doing rounds on the internet that she had been appointed to a senior government post.
Reacting harshly to a letter that started circulating today morning indicating she had been appointed as a charlady of a plum corporation – The National Mining Cooperation – Charlene noted that it was not true and that her father who is the president believes in distributing job opportunities equally.
“Guys…c’mon…seriously?? Tuwache fake news! And looks like whoever is pushing this doesn’t know William Ruto. He believes in giving equal, fair and transparent leadership opportunities to as many Kenyans as possible, so trust me, this he would not do. Na mining tena? Not even youth? Or agriculture? Just so that you know it is really fake! Wacha niendeleze
“…I didn’t wait for anyone to give me an appointment or position, I am creating my own path Plus…my name is Chelagat, not Chelangat Don’t support this propaganda”!
Ms Charlene, among President William Ruto family members, is a known public figure with a foundation which she uses to support the underprivileged children and families.
She also likes appearing in public events mostly State-sponsored something that led to Kenyans questioning her office in the current administration.
President Ruto would, however, clarify that there is nothing like Office of the First Daughter.
