Chege Discloses Why she can No-longer Work With Raila and Karua

Saturday, January 28, 2023 –Nominated Member of Parliament Sabina Chege has bid bye Azimio la Umoja coalition saying she has no time for rallies.

Speaking in a burial ceremony held in Murang’a County, Chege said she now needs to rest after grueling campaign season that almost cost her job.

The lawmaker added that she will not be making her way into the planned Raila’s functions because she has a busy schedule after elections.

Chege clarified that she will be working with both President Williams Ruto as well as his deputy Rigathi Gachagua to realize dreams of her region.

The legislator added that, currently, Gachagua is the de facto Mt Kenya kingpin who anybody from the region cannot underestimate.

“At the moment, the region’s leader is Rigathi Gachagua, and we must support him,” she stated.

And speaking about her recent Statehouse meeting with both Ruto and Gachagua, Chege simply revealed that they spoke about development which is necessary after elections.

“This past week, I went to State House. I got there before every one of you – because I respect anointment and elected leaders,” she noted

She also assured residents that the president had promised to retain all civil servants who had been misused by the last regime of Uhuru Kenyatta.

“We also agreed that our people in various offices would not lose their positions because they were serving the government of the day,” she noted.

Ruto recently invited at the Statehouse a number of Azimio-allied politicians among them Sabina Chege and Kanini Kega.
