Sunday, May 1, 2022 –Murang’a Woman Representative Sabina Chege has, on behalf of people from Central Region, publicly withdrawn the insults they have all along been hurling at ODM Party leader Raila Odinga.

While addressing people of Nyeri County today Sunday May 1 during their Azimio tour led by Hon. Raila Odinga, Ms Chege noted that the entire Central Region owes it to Mr. Odinga who has been supportive and kind to all the heads of State who come from that Region.

Azimio coalition leader Raila Odinga addressing in Nyeri today Sunday May 1.

According to Ms Chege, her apology represents all Kikuyus who have all along been made to believe that Mr. Odinga was a ‘devil and mad man’ who should never take charge of the nation because he harbours hared against people of the Kikuyu community.

“Those who used to tell us Raila does not go to church, today I saw him there and he even took sacrament at the ACK church in Nyeri. It is us who called him a mad man and we want to apologise to him on behalf of myself and the entire Mt. Kenya Region for tarnishing his name,” she stated during the rally.

The politician went ahead to claim that, during their childhood, they were made to believe that Raila was a vampire who feeds on peoples’ blood something that she can now disapprove as not true.

“Some people will tell you that he even eats people but if he did so, Peter Kenneth would have been long gone so come and greet him and even touch him after the meeting so you can all confirm he is a good human being who will serve our country well,” further stated Chege.

She then re-affirmed her commitment to sell Mr. Odinga around the ‘Mountain’ until he wins the next race which is pitting him against Kenya Kwanza’s William Ruto.

The soft spoken MP used the opportunity to remind the audience on how the former prime minister made the late Mwai Kibaki president.
