Cherera: Chebukati has Incited Junior Staff Against us

Monday, September 19, 2022 –Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission Vice Chairman Juliana Cherera now claims Wafula Chebukati has decided to incite their fellow staff members again them.

In the new details, the embattled Cherera and her three other partners, said they had to endure humiliation from junior staff members who booed them all through during the team-building retreat held in Mombasa County this weekend.

“The chairman was in attendance and watched silently as some clusters of staff booed us and he did not raise a finger to stop them,” she disclosed.

In a report by a local publication, it was revealed that the four dissenting commissioners Cherera, Irene Masit, Francis Wanderi and Justus Nyang’aya felt the pain of Chebukati’s influence in their recent sad state of being.

Ms Cherera further told the media that they were booed but also some staff members sided with them because there were some cheers as well.

“Yes, I was booed. The other commissioners were booed too. But amidst the booing, some cheered for us,” she explained.

On his part, Chairman Chebukati pointed an accusing finger at the four breakaway commissioners for the chaos witnessed at the Bomas during the controversial tallying process.

But yesterday Sunday September 18, Azimio la Umoja leaders led by Wiper’s Kalonzo Musyoka warned Chebukati and President William Ruto against fighting the four commissioners. He said they will go to any extend to protect them.
