Tuesday, September 28, 2021 -Mr. Ezra Chiloba is the new Director General Communications Authority of Kenya CAK – a position previously held by Francis Wangusi.
According to a State circular seen by Homenews.co.ke, the former IEBC Chief Executive Officer CEO will serve in that capacity for a period of four years.
This appointment was made public on Tuesday September 28 in a press statement from the Board of Directors at the Communications Authority of Kenya CAK.
The board argued that the appointment was only through after a vigorous and competitive recruitment exercise meant to fill a vacancy left behind following the retirement of Mr. Wangusi.
“Mr. Chiloba holds an undergraduate degree in Law from the University of Nairobi, a Masters of Arts degree from Central European University in Hungary, a Masters of Science degree in Program Management from University of Oxford in the United Kingdom,” the statement read in part.
Defending their choice, the board members stated that Chiloba is the best candidate for that position due to his vast experience in electoral management as well as governance.
The Board also announced that acting Director General Mercy Wanjau has relinquished the position to give space for Chiloba.
