In a video shared on Kenyawide.com desk on Sunday afternoon, Chirchir can be seen struggling to address the church congregants who, in response, are heard busy heckling him nonstop as a sign of protest against his leadership style in the energy sector.
“Thank you so much, Your Excellency, thank you for coming to pray with us today here in Sotik, it’s like home for me. As far as the electricity situation goes, we are going to fix it,” the CS said.
The crowd shouted asking him to sit down for having failed to stop unending power blackouts in their Sotik area.
His boss William Ruto, who was present, would intervene saying he will help look into the cause of frequent blackouts so that the problem can be resolved.

He is accused of exploiting the market alongside Roads and Transport CS Kipchumba Murkomen.
