Citizen Tv Reporter Francis Gachuri Leaves This Message as he Finally Signs out

Friday, March 3, 2023 –Citizen TV senior reporter Francis Gachuri has finally bid farewell his employer in an emotional sign-out that saw his close colleagues wish him well with surprises.

The colleagues – Yvonne Okwara, Linus Kakai and Jamila Mohammed – surprised him with a social mini -party farewell on Thursday March 2 evening.

They celebrated the reporter with songs of love and goodwill and went ahead to cut a special cake for him.

The surprise mini-party started minutes before 7PM news bulletin where it was revealed that he has been working at the RMS now his 5661 days.

“From September 1, 2007, it has been a great ride. With its fair share of ups and downs, tears, sweat and blood, great days and some not-so-good days, many star performances and a few poor shows that to me were more of experiences to learn, grow and improve.

“Today, March 2, 2023, I look back and can only smile and say, what a momentous journey. For 5,661 days I have been a member of the fantastic royal media family,” Gachuri recounted.

The company also held another mega farewell for the seasoned reporter just after their News Gang show ended.

Mr. Gachuri, now 41, used the opportunity to tell his fans that he was leaving Royal Media Services RMS but will still meet them on the streets as he takes over another national role.

“I don’t like saying bye bye because I know we will be meeting in Town” he insisted in his final remarks live on Tv.

He joined the station back in 2007 and, a collage video of his time at the station was played to detail his journey. From joining the station as a reporter to an anchor and political editor.

He revealed that his first assignment was during the post polls violence of 2007.

Gachuri, is now moving to the Ministry of Interior and National Co-ordination as head of Communication.
