Thursday, April 14, 2022 –There was a daylong drama outside Jubilee Party headquarters in Pangani after claims of rigging ensued from some aspirants.
In a long video clip which an affected source has send to our desk, an MCA aspirant who is also a strong supporter of Captain Ronald Karauri of Sportpesa erupted in anger and furiously called out some party officials attempting to rig Karauri out in favour of the incumbent MP, Mercy Gakuya.
“In Jubilee there is no nomination. People are being coerced and we are not going to allow anyone to rig Karauri because he is popular and acceptable on the ground. Mercy you are going home,” he shouted while pointing at an ongoing meeting upstairs.
The disgruntled aspirant identified as Waweru Peterson, who is vying for Claycity Ward MCA seat, took himself a long selfie video ranting helplessly and assuring the incumbent that they will make her life tough on the ground.
He further claimed he was roughed out by some Jubilee Party goons who were acting on orders from some rogue party officials.
He went on calling upon party Vice Chairman David Murathe and party boss Uhuru Kenyatta to swing into action so that to save them from the situation.
“No body is going to gag me. We need to raise our concerns our voice needs to be listened to …. change begins with you even if you are alone.
“Where is my Party leader Uhuru and where is David Murathe?” he posed.
By the time of going to the press, we had not caught up with Captain Karauri or any of the Jubilee Party bosses to commend on the matter.
