Tuesday, December 28, 2021 –Confusion has rocked United Democratic Alliance UDA Party following latest opinion poll released by Infotrak.
In the results announced by the pollster, Raila Amollo Odinga emerged top with a 33 percent score while Deputy President William Ruto managed only 32 percent points.
The pollster released the numbers on Monday December 27 in which Odinga showed an impressive steady rise in popularity than Ruto who has been winning all along since last year.
Odinga is currently the most preferred presidential candidate that the rest and his numbers have been going up by day as Ruto’s shrink down.
Comparing this with past polls, Raila Odinga has improved by 20 percent since last year 2020 when he had been trailing Ruto. In the 2020 end year poll results, Raila was only at 13 percent which went up to 25 percent and now it has hit 32 percent.
In third position now takes Amani National Congress ANC Party leader Wycliffe Musalia Mudavadi with only 1 percent popularity.
But even as Ruto takes second position in the results, his United Democratic Alliance UDA Party picked the most popular party in the country so far.
Raila Odinga’s popularity is fetched from most of his former strongholds like Nyanza, Mombasa, Western and Nairobi Regions. Ruto, on the other hand, is popular in Rift Valley, Central, some parts of Nairobi and Eastern Regions.
What this therefore means is none of the two top contestants can boast of a sure win in 2022 polls if this latest opinion poll is anything to go by.
