Tuesday, August 29, 2023 –Embakasi East MP Babu Owino has been acquitted over misuse of a firearm in the shooting of Nairobi DJ Evolve born Felix Orinda.
A Magistrate court in Nairobi, today Tuesday August 29, acquitted Owino in a case in which he was charged with misusing his firearm in relation to the shooting of DJ Evolve who is still in bed years later.
Making the ruling, Magistrate Bernard Ochoi, said the prosecution did a shoddy job as no evidence was produced to prove the charges leveled against the accused.
And due to the same, it was necessary for the judge to set free the politician after a protracted court battle.
Dj Evolve and parents had earlier abandoned the case after the accused Owino started supporting the DJ with claims that he had also bought a home for him.
In a recent testimony broadcasted live on screens, Evolve shocked the world after claiming that he did not see Babu with a gun.
