Friday, July 22, 2022 –A Nairobi Lands Courts has issued a caution Notice on a multi-million city property which Mathira Member of Parliament Rigathi Gachagua is also claiming ownership.
Mr. Gachagua through his company, Wamunyoro Investments, and Mr. Michael Ohas of Colombus Two Thousand Limited, are embroiled in a court battle in which both claim ownership of the sh 1.5 billion prime property.
Gachagua, in the court documents seen by Homenews.co.ke, argued that Mboya had hatched a plan to rob him the property by manipulating document at the Lands Ministry.
“Ohas and his company Colombus Two Thousand in December 2019 deliberately tampered with the records at the lands office such that any official search on the property currently indicates that Colombus is the registered owner,” claimed Gachagua.
Through his lawyer, Philip Nyachoti, the UDA Party running mate further claimed that the defendant, Mr. John Michel Oha,s was using his powerful networks having been a former Director of Physical planning in Nairobi City.
Justice Oguttu Mboya, while barring the two parties from doing any business with the property, directed that until the case is concluded, the property belongs to none.
“For clarity, the suit property shall not be alienated, sold or otherwise dealt with in any manner that may prejudice the current application,” said Justice Oguttu Mboya while barring the two parties from doing any business with the property.
He certified the case filed by Wamunyoro Investments as urgent.
