Wednesday, January 24, 2024 -Appellate Court of Nairobi has revoked names of nine Members of County Assembly MCAs in UDA Party.

This revocation took place on Wednesday, January 24, in the Court of Appeal.

Kenyawide.com has learnt that all the affected legislators were nominees from Uasin Gishu County, bedrock of the rulling party.

Additionally, the Court of Appeal ordered the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission IEBC to degazette their names within the next 14 days.

The said MCAs had appealed in September 2023, after the High Court dismissed their appeal and upheld a lower court’s ruling that declared null their nomination.
