“You see we accepted ODM and Jubilee to do zoning in Nairobi and those who benefitted are from ODM. We lost 80 percent, and we don’t want the deputy speaker position, we want the speaker seat,” the source indicated.

He added that many Jubilee candidates lost positions or ceded ground for ODM Party during the last campaigns and it is time the ODM leadership shows some kind reciprocity.

“We have lost so many seats because of decisions made from boardrooms and bedrooms, now we are coming up as Nairobi Ni Sisi demanding for Nairobi speaker position,” Joseph Kagai observed.

This has turned their wrangles to another level as the fight to control Nairobi City Hall intensifies ahead of the special sittings.

ODM Party wants Anthony Muturi or former County Assembly Deputy Speaker Ken Ngondi to take the speaker position.
