Monday, November 6, 2023 –Cabinet Secretary CS Public Service Moses Kuria has met with former Mungiki leader Maina Njenga.

In photos which have landed on our desk today Monday November 6, Kuria can be seen all smiles with Njenga both holding and lifting their hands high in a show of solidarity and unity for the sake of their Mt. Kenya unity.

Kuria’s meeting with Njenga coming just two days after he also met with opposition leader Raila Odinga and Kalonzo Musyoka. He mentioned that he had met the two leaders as his long time good friends.

“Met my good friend Prime Minister Raila Odinga. Also met another friend Kalonzo Musyoka,” he updated his official social media platforms as he fell short of leaking the nitty gritty details of their meeting.

Currently, Maina Njenga is not in good books with Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua who vowed never to hold meetings with the people he perceived as ‘terrorists’.

Gachagua has, not once, promised not to hold any meeting with Mr. Njenga who is allied to the opposition wing.

And Kuria’s decision to meet Njenga today will definitely not augur well with Gachagua even as cracks between Kuria, Gachagua and Njega widens up over Mt. Kenya Kingpin position.

Speaking at St James ACK Kiambu yesterday Sunday November 5, DP Gachagua who appeared to have been angered by comments from certain leaders from his backyard, noted that his plate is full and does not have time to join those jostling for the Mt. Kenya kingship.

He added that his work is well-defined in the Kenyan Constitution and that assuming another extra-position is not in his plans any time soon.

“I have my job both given in the Constitution and by my boss William Ruto.

“My office is also in the Constitution and its constitutional based in Harambee House and in Karen,” he added.

Speaking in the same venue, Majority Leader Kimani Ichung’wah also waded into the Mt. Kenya supremacy war saying it is time leaders from the area speak with one voice.
