Monday, October 28, 2024 –The Directorate of Criminal Investigations DCI has set a cash reward for any willing Kenyan who can offer to show them where murder suspect Collins Jumaisi Juma is hiding.
In a Monday October 28 statement, the State requested citizens who could be having any information on Jumaisi to volunteer it to the authorities so that he can be rearrested after fleeing cells months ago.
“If you have any information regarding Collins Jumaisi Khalusha’s whereabouts, we encourage you to share it confidentially through the anonymous #FichuaKwaDCI hotline at 0800722203 or reach out to the police through the hotlines 999, 911, and 112. Additionally, you are welcome to visit any police station within the country. Your support could greatly impact the re-arrest of this wanted suspect. Every piece of information is valuable,” the statement read in full.
Jumaisi was arrested months ago after investigating agencies established that he was the key participant in the murder of more than 40 women at Kware dumpsite in Mukuru slum.
This comes two months after his audacious escape on August 20 alongside 12 Eritreans from the Gigiri Police Station.
Initial reports after the escape indicated that the 13 men cut through a wire mesh before scaling a perimeter wall to their freedom barely a month after Jumaisi’s arrest on the morning of Tuesday, August 20.
However, preliminary investigations into the brazen escape led to the arrest of 5 police officers from the station who were suspected of having aided the prison break.
Police had indicated that the accused had confessed killing atleast 42 women and throwing their bodies in a dumpsite.
