Friday, September 17, 2021 -Detectives busted a training home for desperate Kenyans who had been planned to be flown to South Arabia and other gulf countries for house-help jobs.
In the Thursday September 16 afternoon raid, police managed to rescue close to five hundred Kenyan women who had camped at Red Hill Center in Kiambu training for their next exit.
The DCI officially reported that when they stormed the training center which also doubles up as their home, they found training activities going on.
The victims who were interviewed some claimed that the agents who are training them had confiscated their identity cards IDs making it difficult for them to escape the training halfway despite the harsh conditions.
“We are here and the only money we are being given is sh 200 only for all our stay in this training,” a victim divulged.
They told Citzien Tv that they have been living in poor conditions all through their training sessions and their agents had promised to award them with certificates on completion.
It was also established that the training home has been receiving hundreds of desperate Kenyans mostly women from across the country.
In the raid, DCI confiscated Labour and NITA Certificates including licenses given by Kiambu County Government.
