Saturday, April 6, 2024 -An early morning freak accident between a bus and an oil tanker left atleast two persons dead and scores injured.
Traffic police reports confirmed that more than 10 victims got injuries in an accident that involved a stalked oil tanker and Eldoret Express bus at Muguga, Kikuyu area.
Kikuyu Police Commander Ronald Kirui confirmed to the media that 10 others were seriously injured and rushed to nearby hospitals. They were in critical condition.
He explained that the 5:30AM incident, which involved the bus ramming into the fuel tanker interfered with the free flow of traffic on the busy highway of Nakuru- Nairobi.
National Transport and Safety Authority NTSA has announced return of random alcohol testing on all major highways across the country.
