Debate Rages as Jeff, Muli Compatibility on Tv Fails to Impress

A section of Citizen Tv viewers claimed that Jeff was not at ease with himself as he read through the bulletin with his new screen partner Ms Lilian Muli who replaced Ms Victoria Ribadiri.

At some point, Jeff appeared to fluff his lines while starring at the teleprompter, he also occasionally shifted his sitting position back and forth. It is not clear why he lacked his usual concentration despite having been doing his job perfectly for the past decades.

“Is it just me or is it team mafisi everywhere,” Koinange stated in response to a feature story about Ethiopia, covered by Komla-Dumor award winner and fellow journalist Waihiga Mwaura.

Mwauwa was showcasing how Ethiopians tamed wild hyenas by personally feeding them; and was somewhat quiet timid when he was on the ground covering the story as he had, for the first time, come face-to-face with the wild animals.

Though it may depend on how one looks at things, the debate quickly raged that the pairing of Jeff and Muli was not resonating well with the masses even as Rubadidri continues with her 3 month leave in the US.

“Is Jeff Koinange okay? He’s been fluffing his lines since the bulletin began, even forgetting some very obvious names,” Gabriel Oguda remarked.

Other viewers also joined in the debate saying this was unusual of Jeff as his show with Muli was not only dull but less entertaining.

“Is Jeff Koinange okay? Many unusual mistakes e.g. Hot 96, Yvonne Matola, etc etc…etc,” Muchangi Wambogo commented also.

Another one by the name Levi Sitati noted that the pair had let down their viewers and this ought to be rectified before next Sunday.

Jeff Koinange, just like Lilian Muli, is a seasoned news anchor and among the few who have been able to survive long in the media industry.
