Thursday, August 22, 2024 –Embattled Meru County Governor Kawira Mwangaza has resumed office duty despite her impeachment.
Kawira was seen today Thursday August 22 sited on her office desk in the early hours of the day ready to continue with her role as the county boss.
Yesterday after her ouster by the senators, the politician rushed to the court to acquire official orders stopping her removal.
The high Court sitting in Nairobi managed to issue the orders in her favour and which she is now hanging on to remain in power.
Area Members of County Assembly MCAs accuse her of gross misconduct and violation of the Constitution in service delivery.
Her impeachment being the third since taking office on August 9, 2022.
