Tuesday, July 4, 2023 –United Democratic Alliance UDA Party’s Dennis Itumbi has reacted to the ruling by the High Court trashing their appointment as Chief Administrative Secretaries in Kenya Kwanza government.
Just hours after the shocking ruling that left them hopeless, Itumbi immediately pulled out both his Twitter and Facebook bios which had initially indicated he is a government official.
Mr. Itumbi was among the 50 CASs recently sworn into office at Statehouse on March 23 in an event presided over by President William Ruto.
As we speak, Mr. Itumbi’s new bio now reads somethings else:
‘Come Here, Go There… The Home of Dreams… Home of Ideas… Connecting Dreams to Opportunity’.
And to console himself with the Monday’s court outcome, he tweeted something to do with ‘it is not yet over’ to indicate that they could topple the verdict at the Appellate court level.
The High Court on Monday July 3 quashed the appointment of the 50 CASs appointed by President Ruto, terming it unconstitutional.
The three judge-bench comprising Justices Hedwig Ong’udi, Kanyi Kimondo, and Aleem Visram argued that, even though there was public participation for the initial 23 positions, the same was not done for the newly-created 27 positions.
