Friday, July 9, 2021 -Renowned political analyst Mutahi Ngunyi has revealed the agenda Raila Odinga and his Handshake partner Uhuru Kenyatta discussed at night last Tuesday.
The analyst through his Twitter handle discussed that the two bigwigs held an urgent night meeting despite having an option to do it during the day.
”Why were they meeting at night? They had an option to wait until the morning. What was urgent?” he began.
He also divulged that the former Prime Minister was summoned to fly all the way from Mombasa where he had pitched camp for a night meeting at the Statehouse.
”Raila was summoned from Mombasa, and he flew in straight to the statehouse. Earlier in the day, William Ruto also flew out to Uganda to launch some vaccine production plant with Yoweri Museveni,” he added.
Ngunyi stated that prior to this high voltage meeting, Mr. Odinga was in Mombasa with his top BBI advisers James Orengo and Otiende Amollo. COTU Secretary General Francis Atwoli was also part of the meeting.
”President Uhuru and Raila Odinga are forming up their plans towards Mount Kenya region. Expect plans to start marketing Raila Odinga to kick off. Uhuru has finally decided to make Raila Odinga to the larger Mount Kenya region,” Ngunyi said.
In the meeting, the trip to start marketing Odinga in the vote rich Mt. Kenya Region was intensively discussed so as to find it right when they finally hit the road running. This is whether BBI case wins or flops.
The professor also mentioned how the president met a few powerful men (identity protected) from Mt. Kenya for the same discussion before summoning Odinga to Statehouse.
It was after the meeting that Mr. Kenyatta – the same night – drove around Nairobi slums to commission five new health facilities.
