Saturday, August 13, 2022 –Azimio la Umoja-One Kenya coalition’s elected leaders today met at the Kenyatta International Convention Center KICC for what they described as farmiliarisation meeting.

The inaugural conference saw all victorious leaders from Governors, to Members of County Assemblies MCAs attend and know each other perhaps for the first time.

The hundreds of politicians started arriving as early as 9AM with each taking up their seat at the Azimio Election Day media Center at KICC.

“Ofcourse we were asked to come in the attire for Azimio. We haven’t been told any message just that we should report here at KICC,” Sirisia MP-Elect John Waluke who recently ditched Jubilee Party stated during his brief interview at the venue.

Key figures in Azimio coalition and who attended the meeting include Wiper Party leader Kalonzo Musyoka and Raila Odinga’s running mate, Ms Martha Karua.

“We don’t you know you cannot anticipate debate. First we need to know each other then other things follow. We know where we are going. I can assure you,” Kalonzo said.

Since Wednesday after the August 9 election, KICC has been a beehive of activities with red-carpet preparations taking place all through.

Journalists captured a red carpet being rolled on Thursday afternoon at the entrance of Tsavo ballroom which hosts VIPs.
