Saturday, December 2, 2023 –Detectives have been dispatched across the country ahead of this season’s festivities so that to ensure safety for everyone.
In a communication by the Director of Criminal Investigations Amin Mohamed, the officers from his department will help ensure heightened security throughout this month of December heading to next year 2024.
Making the announcement in a security meeting held in Nairobi yesterday Friday December 1, Mr. Amin directed officers to make sure every corner of the country is secured so that to keep away elements of crime from the society.
Are these elements who take advantage on vulnerable Kenyans this Christmas months to rob and swindle them money on major roads and restaurants.
“Amin noted that it was at such a season of the year when criminals in their numbers set out to interrupt the peace and safety of the citizens through violent robberies, breakings and all manner of felonies,” said DCI boss Amin.
On that note, he called upon his officers to work in collaboration with other security agencies to strengthen the safety of citizens and businesses across the country.
Speaking on a similar matter, Interior Cabinet Secretary Kithure Kindiki said all officers currently on leave will be recalled back.
“All those officers on leave will forfeit their leaves and we will be on duty and alert,” Kindiki told the National Assembly Security Committee on November 8.
December celebrations are always characterized by too much movements, indoor and outdoor parties among other activities.
