Saturday, March 11, 2023 –Continuing investigations into the death of Jeff Mwathi, 23, has disapproved the possibility of the diseased exiting to his death through the window.
The investigating officers who have camped at the scene detailed that the window which had been claimed that the diseased used to exit has grills which could not allow an adult to penetrate through.
Detectives now at the DJ Fatxo’s apartment have found out that the diseased young man likely fell from the rooftop; at the time Fatxo had left his cousin and another man at home.
Combing through all the possible leads, homicide detectives said the CCTV footage failed to show the exit point but only shows his body falling down.
All these are angles the police are pursuing to unravel the mystery behind the death of Mwathi.
This death case is now in the hands of homicide detectives following an express order from the Ministry of Interior.
Interior Cabinet Secretary Prof Kithure Kindiki explained that he had to take over the matter to ally fears of cover up.
“On the matter of the late Jeff Mwathi, I have spoken to the DCI Amin this morning and instructed him to send a homicide team from the DCI headquarters to take the necessary action.
“I thank the DCI for his quick action on this matter. The homicide team from the DCI headquarters is dispassionate, which will help resolve the claims of collusion at Kasarani Police Station where the matter was reported,” the CS stated.
The late was said to have fallen from the 10th floor of an apartment where DJ Fatxo resides. This happened at around 5PM.
