Wednesday, August 18, 2021 -Mathira Member of Parliament Rigathi Gachagua has faulted those forming political parties within Mt Kenya Region instead of joining Ruto’s United Democratic Alliance UDA.

Speaking after Martha Karua, Mr. Mwangi Kiunjuri and MP Moses Kuria met and declared that their area will have their own political plans, Gacharua came out to scold the trio for trying to sabotage William Ruto’s 2022 ambitions.

They however maintained that their region deserves to run its own political affairs ahead of 2022 without interference just like other areas are doing.

According to the Mathira lawmaker, this move however, will signify open selfishness and that those rebelling have another hidden agenda which may cost their region at the end.

“Everybody is free to form his own party.

“What we don’t want is people to form parties and claim they are pursuing the interests of their region because those are personal interests.

“All those leaders are trying to have political parties to come and bargain for positions,” Gachagua remarked.
