Sunday, September 11, 2022 –Narc Kenya Party boss Martha Karua wants to take their petition farther to the East Africac Court of Justice following her dissatisfaction with the Supreme Court verdict delivered by Martha Koome, recently.

The Raila Odinga’s ex-running mate, on Saturday September 10, told journalists that she may not rest until the truth on their case is unearthed.

Karua said that the recent judgment delivered by the Supreme Court in Nairobi looked skewed; and as a coalition, they had to respect without agreeing with the ruling.

Karua, however, clarified that taking the case to another level was her own personal consideration and not for their coalition.

She, therefore, said she will have to make consultations with the Arusha-based court so that she can be told whether the verdict was correct or compromised.

“I’m considering whether to travel on a hot air balloon to the East African Court of Justice just to discuss that judgement. I have time, I will take a break. – Martha Karua. For now, I will take a break but in my personal capacity I’m considering going to the East African Court of Justice,” Martha Karua stated.

As a case sample, Ms Karua wondered how they performed quiet well in Nairobi County but only lost the governor seat saying this does make logic and the puzzle must be unraveled through the correct justice system.

“In Nairobi, they have the governor but we have majority MCAs. Azimio won more presidential votes in Nairobi. I cannot believe we lost. It doesn’t make sense. But the court said we move on and we shall do so in line with rule of law and democracy. There is no other place to go other than the East African Court where I last filed an appeal (against Kirinyaga Governor Anne Waiguru in 2017),” she shared.

The former constitutional minister said the recent court’s opinion was final but not the end of seeking to know the truth.
